All are welcome!

November 22, 7:30 PM – UNION THANKSGIVING SERVICE –  Join us for this special annual service of thanksgiving.  Our guest speaker this year will be Albany County District Attorney, David Soares.  Plan to bring an offering either of non-perishable food for the FOCUS Food Pantry or a financial gift which will also support the FOCUS Food Pantry.  We join with partner congregations, including Westminster Presbyterian Church, Mt. Calvary Baptist Church, First UUS of Albany and Congregation Beth Emeth for this historic reunion service.  Join us!  You’ll be welcome!
JOIN OUR PASTOR FOR “WESLEY IN IRELAND, 2017”
Have you ever thought you like to explore our cultural and religious roots a little more?  Have you ever thought you’d like to visit Ireland?  You can combine those goals by joining Rev. Jeffrey Matthews for “Wesley in Ireland, 2017”. He’ll be leading a group departing on May 16, 2017 and he’d love to have you join him.
The beauty of the land and the friendly hospitality of the people are well known.  Many of us trace a good deal of our own family history there as well.  But did you know that part of the history of “Methodism” takes place there?  I’m excited about this opportunity to learn more and I hope you will be as well.
You can get details by picking up a brochure at Church or requesting one form our Church Office. These brochures will give you a good overview of the trip and when you’re ready to register, they include a handy registration form. You can also register online at http://www.eo.travelwithus.com/tours/wesley-in-ireland-2017#.V9ggTs6cHcs. We hope you’ll consider being part of this great experience.

The cost of the basic trip for May begins at $3,298. It includes round trip airfare, all hotels, buses, touring, admissions, gratuities (with the exception of a tip for driver and guide at the end of the trip), and 2 meals per day. Essentially, you only have to plan for lunch and souvenirs. If you choose the post-trip extension to Northern Ireland it will be an additional $998. These prices are based on double occupancy.

We hope we’ll soon have the opportunity to say, “Welcome Aboard”. If you have friends or family members who would enjoy joining us, please feel free to share this information with them.
